We have achieved so much in the District Attorney's Office during the first 100 days. The initiatives and changes launched are promises made and kept to the citizens of Harris County. Please join me in a celebration of these dynamic reforms and innovations.

The changes I have made reflect the clear message from citizens for dynamic reforms, integrity and professionalism in the office. These new programs, policies and ethical priorities form a solid foundation for restoring public trust. A few of these new initiatives include, the Child Exploitation Section which was created to take on increasingly sophisticated and insidious sexual predators using the Internet and game systems to attract our innocent youngsters. The new Cold Case Section has already captured one fugitive from a 10 year-old homicide case. About 600 other murder cases are being reviewed, all of them involve defendants who were charged but never arrested or did not appear for trial.
